Jamshedpur, Oct. 5: After around two decades, Jharkhand can look forward to complete the much-awaited canal under its ambitious Subernerakha Multipurpose Project, which cuts across Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary.
Members of the state wildlife board, a statutory body that looks after matters related to wildlife and conservation, will meet in the state capital on October 7 to give a nod to the 96sq km of land within sanctuary premises needed for the canal.
Chief minister Arjun Munda, also the chairman of the wildlife board, during his recent visit to the steel city told The Telegraph that clearance on sanctuary land would pave way for the canal
