20,000 villagers work to resurrect Jaisalmer's ponds

They are all bent to make a miracle happen, if not his year, at least next year. A brigade of over 20,000 villagers in the desert district of Rajasthan--Jaisalmer--which receives India's poorest rainfall, are working to their full capacity for the past one month to resurrect 443 water ponds situated in about 361 villages. And the results have already started pouring in.
