25 major bridges in state for better traffic facilities

In order to develop more traffic and transport facilities, 25 major bridges are being built across Madhya Pradesh. After completion of these bridges smooth and rapid traffic would be ensured between various cities. Besides, villages in remote areas would get connected to roads. Construction of these bridges would also usher in progress with a fast pace in the concerning areas. Public Works Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya informed that funds to the tune of about Rs 125 crore would be spent on the construction of major bridges in the state during the current financial year. For this purpose funds to the tune of Rs 89 crore have already been allocated during the current financial year. Vijayvargiya said that the major under-construction bridges include 500 metre long bridge across Chambal river on Sitamau-Gangadhar road in Mandsaur district a cost of Rs two crore 50 lakh, 480 metre long bridge across Narmada river on Nandneredhana-Nasirabad road in Sehore district a cost of Rs 12 crore 50 lakh, 450 metre long bridge across Son river on Sariya-Bharatpur road in Satna district a cost of Rs five crore ten lakh, 450 metre long bridge across Tawa river on Sanjhakhera-Bandrabhan road in Hoshangabad district a cost of Rs 13 crore 39 lakh, 450 metre long bridge across Son river on Chitrangi-Odhhi Ghudwar road in Sidhi district at a cost of Rs 110 crore eight lakh, 395 metre long bridge across Narmada river on Ramnagar-Patpara-Dindori road in Dindori district at a cost of Rs three crore 40 lakh, 360 metre long bridge across Narmada river on Shapura-Chargawan road in Jabalpur district at a cost of about Rs eight crore, 288 metre long bridge across Narmada river on Tamas (Gwarighat)-Rampur Baghelan-Raghunath Gaurayya road in Satna district at a cost of Rs six crore fifty lakh, 275 metre long bridge across Sindh river on Ratangarh temple road in Datia district a cost of Rs four crore and 350 metre long bridge across on Son river on Beohari-Manpur road at Pondighat in Umaria district. Similarly, a 270 metre long bridge would be built across Chandan river on Rampyali-Mohgaon Kurna road in Balaghat district at a cost of Rs three 76 lakh, 270 metre long suspension bridge across Narmada river on Mandla-Purva road in Mandla district at a cost of Rs 11 crore 29 lakh, 250 metre long bridge across Banas river on Sidhi-Beohari road in Sidhi district at a cost of Rs two crore three lakh, 275 metre long bridge across Sunar river at Hata Ghuraghat in Damoh district at a cost of Rs three crore 29 lakh, 210 metre long bridge across Parvati river on Bagwaj-Mahidpur road in Ujjain district at a cost of Rs two crore 84 lakh, 243 metre long bridge across Kshipra river on Mahidpur-Gogapur road in Ujjain district at a cost of Rs three crore 11 lakh, 240 metre long bridge on Amniya-Brahmniya road in Mandla district at a cost of Rs two crore 49 lakh, a bridge on Simriyakoni-Kishangarh road in Panna district at a cost of Rs two crore 14 lakh, bridge across Son river on Paudi Rajghat-Beohari Manpur road in Umaria district at a cost of Rs five crore 54 lakh and a bridge would be built across Chambal river at a cost of Rs three crore 37 lakh on Nagda-Khachrod road in Ujjain district. A 210 metre long bridge across Son river would be built on Pipalgaon-Timarni road in Balaghat district at a cost of Rs three crore 14 lakh, 200 metre long bridge across Byarma river on Kundalpur-Kota Mahind road in Damoh district at a cost of Rs two crore five lakh, 200 metre long bridge across Pench river on Badgaon-Ponia road in Chhindwara district at a cost of Rs two crore 65 lakh and a 200 metre long bridge would be constructed across Kwari river on Pawai-Tarsokhar road in Bhind district at a cost of about Rs 14 crore.
