The Madhya Pradesh state government has accorded sanction to start 2531 additional Aanganwadi centres in the state. Directives have been issued to start these Centres soon. Priority would be given to villages predominantly inhabited by people of scheduled castes, tribes and minorities in setting up of these Aanganwadi Centres. The villages for setting up additional Aanganwadi centres would be selected with the approval of Janpad Panchayat.
