Keeping in view the scanty rainfall in the district this year, the Forest department of Andhra Pradesh, on an experimental basis, has decided to distribute 2.6 lakh teak saplings to the farmers of the upland Sircilla division. As part of the programme, the department is organising a teak saplings mela and an awareness campaign in the town.
