So far at least three people including a 22-year-old woman are confirmed dead in the fire, which erupted in Geeta Colony in East Delhi. The probe in the case has shown that the fire in the slum cluster had spread after the residents of the area had left a pile of garbage and plastic waste on fire. It has been confirmed that the fire erupted late on Tuesday night. The situation was brought under control after three hours, by at least 27 fire tenders, who rushed to the spot soon after the fire broke.
