3 states high agreement for highway upgradation

The National Highways Authority of India has signed three agreements for four-laning of nearly 200 km of highways on BOT (build, operate, transfer) basis in Maharashtra, Rajastan and Chhattisgarh at an investment of over Rs 1000 crore. The four-laning of the 100-km high traffic stretch between Vadape and Gonde in Maharashtra is expected to be completed in three years at a cost of Rs 579 crore, making it the single biggest contract awarded so far in terms of project cost under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase
