Forestry staff in Bhutan are still estimating the damage caused by a forest fire which destroyed about 300 hectares of forests between Tomiyangtsi and Gom Kora in Trashiyangtse dzongkhag early this week. People living nearby said that there had been no forest fires in the area for the last five to six years which is why the lemon grass had grown so thick.
