The 50th Vanamohotsav week was celebrated at Naragaon, North Lakhimpur district Forest Department, Milan Sangha, Ranganadi-partia Unnayan Samittee and Green Heritage, of Lakhimpur with a week long programme. More than 10000 tree saplings were distributed among the people on the occasion. The Lakhimpur District Forest Department has freed 3000 hectares of land from the encroachers of Ranga, Kakoi, Dulung, Pat, and Kadam forest reserves. A scheme has been prepared to plant trees in these areas of evicted land.
