$336-m Kerala road project enters phase-II

Land acquisition headaches are over, the $336-million World Bank-backed Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP) has majored to move to phase-II next month. This involves 1,600 km road network and 77 km of pilot projects in inland water transport. KSTP, which started off in June 2002, was to be completed in June 2005, but for land acquisition ordeals dogging it at various stages.
