The Forest department will complete planting of about 35,000 saplings under the Greenbelt Abatement Programme, funded by the Union Pollution Control Board, in Chennai.The programme was abruptly closed on March 31 this year and the department handed over 95,000 saplings to the Chennai Corporation.
