40 new road projects for Ramnagar: Jugal

RAMNAGAR : Minister for Road and Bridges, Jugal Kishore Sharma asserted that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Central Government has released funds worth Rs.1200 crore for construction of 400 new roads in the state under Prime Ministers Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) to extend road connectivity to left out pockets of the state. This was stated by the Minister the other day while addressing a public meeting at village Sunetar and Kulwanta in tehsil Ramnagar of district Udhampur, after laying foundation stone of 14.50 km Kulwanta-Bari-Ludana road benefiting nearly 5000 people. The road is being constructed at a cost of Rs.6.64 crore under PMGSY. The Minister informed that 40 new road projects under PMGSY worth Rs.70 crore have been sanctioned for Tehsil Ramnagar which would ensure better road connectivity of this hilly terrain with towns and cities. To foil the evil designs of vested interests who misguid the people in the name of caste, creed or colour, Jugal Kishore asked the people to remain vigilant and united and give them a befitting reply so that nothing comes in the way of peace and prosperity of the state. He stressed upon the engineers of R&B, and PMGSY to complete the road projects in time and ensure proper maintenance of roads after their completion. Responding to the demands of the people of village Sunatar and Kulwanta, the Minister directed the SE, R&B to prepare a detailed project report of suspension bridges at Saloh and Beri besides keeping Kaitha to Balota road under Central Road Funding Project.
