Singh informed that about 50 thousand Village Water and Sanitation Committees are being constituted in the state. Large-scale training programmes are also being held for effective implementation of the campaign. Training module has been prepared for every village. This process has been completed in more than 25 per cent villages. It may be mentioned that technical and financial assistance is being provided for construction of family flush latrines in the rural areas under Total Sanitation Campaign in the state. Besides, availability of sanitary arrangements is being ensured in schools, sanitary complexes are being constructed for women and efforts are being undertaken to create awareness about individual as well as community sanitation among the masses.
