Forty-four litre of water can be saved by brushing teeth with a glass of water and rising the mouth briefly rather than letting the tap run for five minutes. If tap leaks are rectified immediately, 3,000 litre of water can be saved per day. This was the P W Vehmeyer's message. He is an agricultural scientist from the International Institute for Land Reclamation and Improvement, the Netherlands. Vehemeyer was in Andhra Pradesh as coordinator of three-day State-level workshop 'Agricultural Water Demand Management' being held here in co-ordination with the Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University.
