5 die of sunstroke in MP

Four people have died in Madhya Pradesh in the past two days due to sunstroke taking the total number of sunstroke deaths to five as various parts of the state continued to reel under scorching heat. Three people, including a woman, died due to sunstroke in Morena district and one person died due to sunstroke in Bhind. A labourer, affected by sunstroke, is receiving treatment in Morena. Jabalpur, Tikamgarh, Satna and Umaria received moderate to heavy rainfall today. Jabalpur recorded 36 mm precipitation. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature of 45 degree Celisus, while Satna and Rewa recorded a high of 44 C, five and seven notches above normal respectively. Indore, Jabalpur and Bhopal recorded a maximum of 36.5 C, 40 C and 40 C respectively. Regional Meteorological Department predicted rainfall in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Hoshangabad divisions in the next 24 hours. Strong winds lashed the state capital in the evening.
