The Bilaspur police has arrested a khair wood contractor, Geeta Ram, and four truck drivers Rattan Lal, Ramesh Chand, Piar Singh and Suresh Kumar were arrested at a police "naka' at Kandraur Bridge. The Superintendent of Police, Mr M Chander Shekhar, said that a police party, led by Bilaspur Sadar SHO, Inspector Sanjiv Chauhan, ASI Ramnath and found that the trucks were carrying khair wood in excess of the quantity allowed under permits for these trucks.
