Under specific instructions from the Supreme Court to phase out the entire fleet of diesel vehicles, Delhi Government acted quickly and now nearly 5,000 CNG buses are plying on Delhi roads. On the other hand, 1189 special permits issued to the diesel vehicles have been surrendered so far after the orders issued by the State Transport Authority (STA) under the Apex Court directive.
