Urban Development Minister A.K. Walia said 53 chaupals would be renovated or reconstructed at a cost of Rs 4.18 crore in various urbanised villages in the NCT of Delhi. The expenditure of 36 chaupals will be met out of the funds of the Department of Urban Development of Government of NCT of Delhi and of 17 chaupals from the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme of Dr Karan Singh and Ms Ambika Soni, Members of Parliament.
