The Centre is keen on giving a shape to some new metro rail projects in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad by the yearend, Union urban development minister Ananth Kumar said in New Delhi. "The project report for the Bangalore Metro has already been prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and the project report for the Hyderabad-Secundrabad project will be submitted on May 31," Mr Kumar told journalists after taking stock of progress of the Delhi Metro Rail project. The Centre has already initiated talks with the Gujarat chief minister on the Ahmedabad-Gandhi Nagar project and work would be started soon for the preparation of the project report, he said.
