8 teams enters semi-final of Green Quest-2017

A total of eight teams entered semi-final of Green Quest-2017 being organised by EPCO focusing environment conservation and climate change on Thursday. The teams which reached semi-final include Suhas Harle and Gourav Patel of Jawahar Lal Nehru School, Sourabh Gupta and Tanishk Rathore of Sagar Public School, Keshav Vishwakarma and Ayush Bandopadhyaya of Mount Carmel School, Syed Samreen Ahmed and Rishi Bhadraj of Sagar Public School, Shubh Guwalani and Asmit Sharma of Holy Family Convent School, Muskan Yadav and Ayushi Singh of Saint Joseph Convent School, Rahul Morchhale and Prajjawal Sharma of Mount Carmel School besides Udbhav Bhargava and Shivam Chaurivar of Campion School. Semi final and final round of Green Quest-2017 will be held in the auditorium of Paryavaran Parisar at 9.00 am and 4.00 pm on May 12 respectively. Four winner teams of semi final will participate in final. A cash reward of Rs. 20 thousand will be presented to first winner team. Moreover, a cash reward of Rs. 15 thousand, Rs. 10 thousand and Rs. 5 thousand with consolation prizes will be presented to second, third and fourth runner up teams respectively. Sharda Moolchandani, a teacher of Jawaharlal Nehru School appreciating the competition said that this competition should be held every year. Students have conducted deep study of the environment owing to the competition. This will bring awareness among the children and will attract children attention towards environment. Executive Director EPCO Anupam Rajan stated that tradition to worship nature is an environment conservation in Indian Culture. Linking children through Green Quest will strengthen this tradition and will infuse a culture of environment conservation so that challenges of environment would not be faced by future generations.
