There is nothing new in planting trees in memory of the loved ones. But Smriti Vatika at Kanan Pendari in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh is unique. An entire stretch of 300 acres of land is being developed into a forest and all trees would be planted by villagers to keep alive the memory of their near and dear who are no longer with them.
