The forest department is planning to give a face lift to 2 km long streches from the Zero line at Wagah and the entry of Amritsar near the Verka byepass with ornamental trees. Deputy Commissioner Raminder Singh said,"the sponsorship of Indian Oil Corporation for the Wagah project is almost assured. The purpose is to enhance the visual appeal of the city from both the important entry points, especially Wagah."
