Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was expected to get started on Monday, but a series of functions were put off. She begins on Tuesday with the signing of a water purchase agreement with the consortium that will set up the first major desalination plant to cater to Chennai. Ms. Jayalalitha will move to the Nandambakkam Trade Centre to launch her Government's New Anna Marumalarchi scheme for small and tiny industries in the districts.
