A hundred years of neglect

It is a 50 hectare expanse, green and full of birds. The park is nearly 800 years old, but what has disappeared is the lake. Once, this lake supplied water to the people who lived in the Hauz Khas area. Today, it is a dry bed. The southern part of Delhi has always faced water shortages. Even during the reign of Alauddin Khilji, ruler of the third city of Delhi, Siri, the residents faced extreme water shortages.
