After planting over a million trees in arid Ladakh he wheezes now at the age of 72. Through his 30-years and beyond, of dedication in the Forest department Nawang Sanghe took up the daunting task of planting trees in the cold and dry wilderness of Ladakh. They (people and officials alike) once laughed at him, but today most, the trees he planted are half of his age.
