All five streams in Tungareshwar forest have been diverted, besides other alteration of the topography. Environmentalists are worried about the forest patch at Tungareshwar, 14 km from Vasai, Maharashtra where a flurry of 'developmental activities' is taking place without the permission of forest authorities.
