Bhopal: Above normal rains in ten districts, normal in 28 districts and below normal rains have been registered 12 districts in the state from June 1 to August 6. This information has been given by Meteorology Department, Bhopal. Water level at Sethani Ghat on the banks of Narmada River in Hoshangabad has risen to 965 feet due to opening of 13 gates of Tawa Dam leading to setting up four relief camps for affected people of low-lying areas. According to Meteorology Department, heavy rains are likely in one or two places in all the districts during the next 48 hours.
Additional relief worth Rs. 628 lakh to flood-affected districts
Bhopal, Aug 06: The State Government has allocated additional relief amounting to Rs. six crore 28 lakh to flood-affected districts. Advance allocation of Rs. five crore at the rate of Rs. 10 lakh per district has also been made available to districts for distributing relief.
Rs. 10 lakh has been sanctioned to Sidhi, Rs. 40 lakh to Indore, Rs. 180 lakh to Sehore, Rs. 10 lakh to Burhanpur, Rs. 60 lakh to Harda, Rs. 100 lakh to Dewas, Rs. 15 lakh to Katni, Rs. 20 lakh to Khargone, Rs. 25 to Hoshangabad, Rs. 12 lakh to Seoni, Rs. 50 lakh to Hoshangabad, Rs. 10 lakh to Jabalpur, Rs. 50 lakh to Rewa, Rs. 22 lakh to Chhindwara and Rs. 24 lakh has been allocated to Singrauli.
Rs. 66 lakh for flood relief material and motor boats
A sum of Rs. 66 lakh has been allocated to six districts for purchasing flood relief material and motor boats. Earlier, Rs. one lakh each has been made available to every district for this purpose.
Sehore district has been allocated Rs. 10 lakh, Vidisha Rs. 13 lakh, Jabalpur Rs. eight lakh, Raisen Rs. 15 lakh Shajapur Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 10 lakh has been allocated to Umaria district.
