The DK and Udupi district of Mangalore Forest Evacuees' Action Committee, while welcoming the steps initiated by the government towards protecting the interests of poor agriculture labourers and small farmers who have been living in revenue land since the past several years, has urged the forest department authorities to stop threatening the poor farmers.
