The Tamil Nadu Afforestation Project has caused a remarkable change in the lives of the villages of Thudukkanahalli in Krishnagiri taluk.According to an official press release, the project which is under execution since 1997 in the village and involves planting of trees in the adjacent reserve forests, has elicited excellent public response. Apart from extending their wholehearted cooperation, illegal felling, illicit distillation and illegal grazing have been totally stopped.
