For the Bhatti Mines are, pitted and scarred by stone quarrying for decades, there is hope, courtsey some "part-time soldiers". The Territorial Army is raising a battalion of troops - mostly ex-servicemen - to plant trees in the area that trees were cut down years ago by illegal stone quarrying firms. The area near Badarpur, is seriously deforestated and the 132 Infanty Battalion of te TA, which is affiliated to the Rajput regiment, will begin planting trees on TA day on Monday.
