Ajit demands Harit Pradesh made out of 22 districts

The national Chairman of the Lok Dal, Mr Ajit Singh, has threatened a Mahabharata for carving out a Harit Pradesh. He said the Pandavas had fought a Mahabharata for getting only five villages. "We are demanding 22 districts for setting up of Harit Pradesh,' he said. Mr Ajit Singh, who was laying the foundation stone of Ch Charan Singh Canal Road in Murad Nagar, gave a clarion call to the people of western UP, asking them to be prepared for waging a war for it. The Lok Dal Chairman blamed the state government for failure on the power and water fronts. Addressing a large public meeting, he said, "If you want water, power, roads and employment, you will have to work for Harit Pradesh. Even a new high court and a capital will be set up in the state. The new state will help farmers, traders, the educated youth, advocates, industries and all sections of people, Mr Ajit Singh stressed.
