Akhilesh assures clean Ganga during Prayag Kumbh

After meeting the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday, the firebrand BJP leader and party MLA Uma Bharti claimed that the CM has assured her that all efforts would be taken up to ensure pure water in Ganga during the Prayag Kumbh between Januray 14 and February 10. Uma Bharti said that the attitude of the state government towards the purification was positive and if needed she will takje initiative to seek the intervention of the Centre to accomplish the task of purification of the water of holdy river. She also requested the CM to take care of the proposed dam projects on Ken-Betwa rivers as these were necessary for the overall development of the Bundelkhand region. Earlier talking to media persons, Uma Bharti ambitious project of linking the rivers can again be undertaken as the prohibition on it has been lifted. “During my chief ministership of madhya Pradesh I had spoken to then then chief minister of UP Mulayam Singh Yadav on the subject and recently written a letter to MP Chiuef Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on the issue” she said. The firebarnd BJP leader claimed that BJP under the leadership of the Chief Minister Narendra Modi was heading for one sided victory in Gujrat assembly election. However when asked about the BJP rebel and former chief minister of Karnatak B.S.Yediyurappa, she refused to comment. “ I will observe the development in Karnatak for three months and react only afterwards” Said Bharti.
