In a memorandum submitted to the Union Labour Ministry and Department of Women and Child Development on Tuesday, concerned members of civil society have asked for "appropriate' amendments to the Child Labour Act, 1986 which would prohibit child labour in the hotel industry and as domestic labour with immediate effect.
