The Andhra Pradesh Government finds itself pitted against a small village which is holding out against its ambitious plans to locate the country's first international business school in the area. It was barely two months ago that the Chief Minister, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, had touted the project as a major triumph for Hyderabad, which had been chosen by a group of top Indian industrialists over other contenders like Mumbai, Banglore and Chennai. But Mr Naidu's dream project has hit a roadblock with residents of Manikonda village, most of whom are small and marginal farmers holding less than five acres of land, coming out in the open to protest against attempts to take over control of their lands.
