In an effort to clear encroachments and illegal commercial establishments, the administration has started sealing shops functioning from residential sectors and colonies in the city. The action was launched after directions from the High Court, which had instructed the authorities to take action against the encroachments. Meanwhile, Huda also launched a drive to remove encroachments from various areas in Faridabad, Haryana. It may be recalled that it removed 350 jhuggis and illegal kiosks in the recent past. Encroachments were removed from over 5.5 acres of land.
