Kakinada, Dec. 3: Anti-Pollution Day was observed under the aegis of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board at P.R. Government Degree College, here on Friday. The assistant environmental engineer of the board, Mr V. Ravi Sankar underlined the ill-effects of pollution. He stressed the need to protect environment by not using plastic products and planting trees. The college of engineering at JNTU-K, Prof P. Udaya Bhaskar, distributed prizes to winners who took part in the elocution, essay writing and drawing competitions held earlier by the board.
