South-East Asian officials would meet representatives from Indonesian plantation firms later this month to seek ways to prevent the forest fires that cause the region's notorious smoky haze in recent years, a newspaper report said here on Monday.The meeting will be the first such between the Association of South-East Asian Naitons(Asean) and the Indonesian plantation firms, which are blamed for triggering the huge forest fires during their annual land clearing season from July to September.
