The Assam Police is out to change its face as the force is getting more and more involved in social activities. The Assam Police is all set to launch the Green Earth project with the aim of planting five lakh saplings all over the State. That unabated felling of trees and shrinking of the forest cover has become motters of serious concern not only in Assam but all over the world. Assam has already witnessed the evil efforts of deforestation, which resulted in erosion and other such problems.
