At Bhikaji Cama, Rs 70 lakh goes up in smoke daily

A survey jointly conducted by Delhi traffic police and Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) has assessed an annual loss of Rs 70 lakh of the citizen's money which is incurred on account of fuel wastage at the Bhikaji Cama Palace crossing. This is the second survey which the traffic police and CRRI conducted in the city to find out whether the newly built flyovers have been able to bring down traffic congestion at the crossings. An earlier survey of the Moti Bagh crossing had calculated an annual loss of Rs 80 lakh which motorists waste on account of idling of vehicles there.
