Attend SYL meeting, Chautala asks Oppn

The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Om Prakash Chautala, said he would implement every decision taken in the interest of the state at the all-party meeting convened by him on the issue of SYL canal. He asked all Opposition parties in the state to attend this crucial meeting as according to the decision of the Supreme Court the time limit given for its construction in Punjab expires on January 15. The Chief Minister was addressing a meeting of the panches, sarpanches and members of the gram vikas samitis. On this occasion he also released a booklet about the development work undertaken in the district. Mr Chautala criticised the decision of the Haryana Pradesh Congress to stage a dharna in front of the residence of the Prime Minister on the SYL issue and said instead the Congress should stage a dharna in front of the residence of the Chief Minister, Punjab.
