While the road is bumpy with speculation and controversies, as many leading car majors skip one of Asia's mega events, motors are gearing up for the 7th Auto Expo to be inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani. The six-day extravaganza, will showcase the best of present and future technologies and wares from major automobile and component manufacturers. While myriad companies eagerly await to exhibit their products, conspicuous by their absence are global biggies like General Motors, Ford, Honda and Fiat and Indian heavyweight like Hero Honda. Even CII President Anand Mahindra's own company, Mahindra & Mahindra, has decided against participating, raising eyebrows of many.
