Automakers plan fuel-cell cars

Two of the world's biggest car companies are planning to introduce a new line of non-polluting vehicles that ultimately could displace gasoline and diesel powered cars and trucks. DaimlerChrysler AG, the world's fifth-largest automaker, and Ford Motor Co., the second biggest, will inveil plans to introduce hydrogen-fuel-cell cars, which will run on electricity generated by an electro chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen.
