Awareness camp for farmers

JAMMU: An awareness camp was organized by the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer at village Pangali in Dansal block Jammu today. The farmers form Panglai and adjoining villages took part in the camp and learnt about the scientific methods of rearing and management of livestock ,poultry and conservation of forest and wildlife from the experts of the department. Dr. G S Datta chief Animal Husbandry Officer stressed upon the farmers for adopting different schemes like livestock, insurance scheme, capital venture scheme, community bull rearing scheme, formation of dairy cooperative societies, poultry rearing. He asked the farmers to adopt these schemes for the proper upliftment of socio economic status of the farmers in general and live stock herders in particular. Poultry development officer Jammu Block veterinary officer Dansal and assistant surgeon Pangali also spoke on occasion.
