Bakery to pay record fine under US stratospheric ozone protection programme.

An Arkansas bakery has agreed to pay a $3.5 million fine for violating the Clean Air Act regarding the protection of the stratospheric ozone.The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced on 11 September that Meyer's Bakery, based in Little Rock, had agreed to the largest settlement in the history of the EPA's stratospheric ozone protection programme.
