Prominent environmentalist and President of the Himachal Bachao Samiti, Mr Kulbhushan Upmanyu, has demanded a complete ban on planting of pine.In a statement issued today, he said for the past 100 years pine plantation had been done and the plantation of trees providing fodder, fuel, fruit, herbs and manure to the locals was neglected.
