The Bandipur National Park, which is a project tiger reserve, will remain closed for visitors from March 11. In view of forest fires in the neighbouring Madhumalai forest sanctuary and some stray incidents of fires in the park, the forest department has ordered the closure of the park from March 11 till further orders to prevent further spread of fires.
