Bengal to enforce Euro I emission norms from July

Keen to improve the environment, the West Bengal Government has announced a clutch of measures which included refusing registration from July 1 to private non-commercial vehciles failing Euro I emission norms, denying permits to taxis plying for over 15 years after January 1, 2001 and extending the coverage of the Air Act to combat industrial pollution to the entire State.
