Betterment of poor is top priority: CM

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that betterment of the poor is the top priority of the state government. He launched Annapurna Yojana and laid the foundation of a Rs. 108 crore Narmada water project at Khandwa today. The Minister for Tribal Welfare and Forests Kunwar Vijay Shah presided over the function. Addressing the people gathered on the occasion the Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is suffering due to discriminatory polices of the central government to oppose, which he would offer Satyagraha by observing one-day fast on April 30. He warned the officials of strict action in case of any negligence or irregularity in implementation of Annapurna Yojana. The Chief Minister said that when he last visited Khandwa on August 7, he promised to the public representatives and the public that Narmada water would be brought to Khandwa. Within a year the Bhumi Pujan is being performed today. He said that the present state government believes in work and not rhetoric. He lauded the efforts of the Member of Parliament, MLAs and mayor for this project. Member of Parliament Shri Nandkumar Chouhan and MLA Shri Hukumchand Yadav also spoke on the occasion. The Chief Minister launched the distribution of bi-cycles to Kotwars on the occasion. He also presented National Savings Certificates to two girls Shania Shekh and Saraswati under Ladali Laxami Yojana.
