Calling upon the Centre to get the SYL canal constructed through its agencies in pursuance of the Supreme Court verdict, Haryana Congress chief Bhajan Lal today said party workers would "fill the jails of Haryana and Delhi' if the canal was not completed in the next nine months. Addressing a rally here before meeting Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee at his residence along with other Haryana Congress leaders, Mr Bhajan Lal said water was an important issue for the people of Haryana as several areas of the state were facing scarcity of the commodity.
