Former Forest Secretary of Kerala E.K.Bharat Bhushan refuted the allegations raised against him by Additional Advocate-General V.K.Beeran and said that it was time that an operation clean-up was launched in the Forest Department. Bharat Bhushan said the operations of the Forest Department should be streamlined to save what is left with the State's forests. The main allegation against him by Beeran was that he had tried to save some of the officers involved in the theft at the Olavakkode Forest Department strong room by making some corrections in the affidavit to be submitted in the court.
